Before 2010, Yvon’s research portfolio included experiments in the relationship between vocalisation and gesture/movement/the choreographic and video art (Intimacies with Ludivine Allegue, Beacons video work and live show, B[earth] with Ludivine Allegue), part of the Extending Vocal Bodies into Audiovisual Media research strand (funded by British Academy, Arts Council England, and collaborating venues); developing public-space performance through movement practice (The Opposite of Trauma); exploring the choreographic relationship between voice and painted gesture (B[earth], with Ludivine Allegue); and experiments with performing silk and silk performing (Soie soyeuse) as part of my interest in skin surfaces, the sensory dimension of voice, and textile as an extension of skin and voice. A range of theorisations involving the articulation of artistic process and assertions of insights derived from the outcomes resulted. Publications & CV.
